The location was perfect and conveniently close to the Menin Gate, making it easy to attend the Last Post ceremony. the facilities were excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. the house also had a fascinating collection of World War 1 memorabilia. There were some great restaurants within walking distance, and the nearby Bellewaerde theme and aqua parks made it a fantastic family location.

We stayed at Menin Gate House for one night and it was the perfect location to explore the town. The apartment is filled with unique memorabilia from the Last Post Association, giving it a special and historic feel. Benoit, our host, was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the war and places to visit. The apartment itself was comfortable, well-equipped, and had a lovely courtyard for outdoor meals. The Flanders Field museum nearby was an inspirational and engaging experience for the whole family.

The noise level in the twin bedroom. If the upstairs apartment was occupied, it could get quite noisy and make it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

It is situated right next to the famous gate and is conveniently close to shops, the railway and bus station. the hosts are incredibly helpful and kind, making sure your stay is memorable. the house itself offers spacious rooms, a large kitchen, dining, and living area, perfect for small groups or families. the hosts provide a personal invitation to the evening ceremony, adding a special touch to your visit.

It should be noted that the property may not be suitable for families with young children due to the presence of war memorabilia that may be unsafe for them.

The fact that the stairs are shared with the guests in the second-floor apartment may be inconvenient for some. The second bedroom not having an ensuite toilet was a minor issue.
